Marla (Lisa Codrington) is James (Aaron Abrams) and Ennis’ (Ennis Esmer) ambitious, demanding, and ruthless boss. Marla is not someone James, or anyone, wants to cross. Having moved up to junior VP in a new department at Gero’s Grocery, Marla has her sights firmly set on reaching the top of the corporate ladder. For now, that means making Gero’s in-house brand, ‘Baggie’s Buys,’ a success. Marla values hard work, loyalty, and claims that children are career killers.

Codrington is a Canadian Screen Award nominated actor and writer. Her recent film and television acting credits include LETTERKENNY (Crave), THE LAKE (Amazon), BAD BLOOD (CityTV/Netflix) and ANNE WITH AN E (CBC/Netflix). Her stage credits include three seasons at the Shaw Festival and da kink in my hair at the Princess of Wales in Toronto and Hackney Empire theatre in London.
